DNJSL Gala Report Rd 1

The first round of the  Derby & Nottinghamshire Junior League [AKA Diddy League ] took place at Alfreton last night

This was a chance tor our 9-12 y/o swimmers to show us how much they have progressed and they did not let us down.

Marlins had  a really tough draw and despite some very close finishes  did not manage any  first places but took  9  2nd places

Many of the younger swimmers were in their first or 2nd competitions so did really  well  to  produce many best times and  good improvements in  their skills

There were a large number of PB  times  and  a great atmosphere amongst the swimmers

At the final count  Marlins finished 4th  with  152 gala  points.

Well done to all our swimmers and  thanks to the  coaches helpers and officials who made sure the gala ran smoothly

We look forward to the 2nd round which  takes place on  Sat 18th May
