Personal best times (PBs) are an important part of a competitive swimmer’s life. They allow each swimmer to track their progress as they train and grow, and if desired, to compare against their friends and rivals.
As swimmers reach more competitive levels, PBs are necessary to swim in open meets and championships for which there are qualifying times. Click on the following link which explains the different types of gala and what a licenced time is.
The Belper Marlin coaching team keep a records of all gala and time trial swims. These records can then be used as the basis for team selection in our team competitions such as the Arena League and the Junior (“Diddy”) League.
Licenced Times – British Swimming Database
If you aren’t sure which of your PB times are licenced, the database run by Swim England on the link below will allow you to search all of your performances at a licenced gala (it is useful to have your SE number to hand for searching).
